School District 45 provides a comprehensive curriculum within the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, students participate in art, physical education and music during the school day. Student support services are provided in the areas of ESL and bilingual programming, gifted instruction, and special education services. Foreign language is offered at the middle school level. School District 45 does not withhold a student’s grades, transcripts, or diplomas because of an unpaid balance on the student’s school account.
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction also coordinates school improvement, staff development, and student assessment.
Per the Stevens Amendment (Public Law 100.463, Section 8136), projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money must credit the Federal government for the Federal government’s portion of the financial support.
The use of federal dollars in School District 45, DuPage County, meets the Stevens Amendment requirement. Staff development opportunities, resource purchases, and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with federal entitlement dollars.
