School District 45 offers a comprehensive curriculum in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Students also receive instruction in art, physical education and music during the school day. Support services include ESL and bilingual programs, gifted instruction, and special education services. Foreign language is offered at the middle school level. The district does not withhold a student’s grades, transcripts or diploma due to an unpaid school account balance.
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction oversees school improvement, staff development and student assessment.
In accordance with the Stevens Amendment (Public Law 100-463, Section 8136), programs funded in whole or in part with federal grant money must credit the federal government for its financial support. School District 45, DuPage County, complies with this requirement. Federal entitlement funds support staff development, resource purchases and personnel.
