DuPage Health Coalition

DuPage Health Coalition offers three programs to help eligible residents of DuPage to receive low-cost primary healthcare services, as well as some other medical assistance.

Access DuPage coordinates low-cost comprehensive health care for families who do not qualify for public insurance.

Silver Access provides financial assistance to families who purchase public health insurance.

DuPage Dispensary of Hope helps uninsured patients get free medications with valid prescriptions.

This resource provides free legal services from volunteer attorneys from the DuPage County Bar Association to income-eligible clients. Services include legal help with divorce, guardianship, child support, adoption, bankruptcy, and more. Counseling and Mental Health Resources

District 45 CARES

District 45 families can access free mental health services through Referral GPS. Called District 45 CARES (Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement and Support), this program connects families to local mental health providers based on their specific needs and will help schedule appointments. Services are available at nearby clinician offices or virtually (telehealth) and are 100% confidential. Families may receive up to eight (8) FREE sessions of counseling services. CARES is available to uninsured or underinsured families and accepts all private and public insurance options, including PPO, HMO and Medicaid.

NAMI DuPage

This resource provides accessible counseling and support services for individuals with a mental illness and the families of a child with a mental illness. They offer a wide range of counseling services, support programs, and other recreational and social opportunities.

Public Benefits

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a public benefit that provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of families in need. To learn more about the program, visit SNAP’s official page or Northern Illinois Food Bank’s SNAP help page. Visit the Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE) website to apply online. To apply in person locally, visit the Family Community Resource Center in DuPage County at 1717 Park St, Suite 105, Naperville, IL 60563. People’s Resource Center and DuPage County Community Services may also provide local assistance with the SNAP application.

 

Child Care Assistance Program

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is a public benefit from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to help income-eligible parents pay for child care while they work or go to school. Please visit the program’s main page or the YWCA site to learn more about the program or apply locally. Tri-Town YMCA and Childtime in Villa Park accept CCAP and help eligible families use.

 

Affordable Connectivity Program

The Affordable Connectivity Program is a new public benefit that helps income-eligible families pay for monthly internet service from participating service providers. The program offers families $30 each month to cover internet service and a one-time $100 discount for purchasing a laptop, desktop, or tablet. Families receiving other public benefits, including SNAP, Medicaid, and WIC, qualify for this program. To verify your family’s eligibility and for assistance with applying for the benefit, visit getmyinternet.org.
