Counseling and Mental Health Resources

District 45 CARES

District 45 families can access free mental health services through Referral GPS. Called District 45 CARES (Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement and Support), this program connects families to local mental health providers based on their specific needs and will help schedule appointments. Services are available at nearby clinician offices or virtually (telehealth) and are 100% confidential. Families may receive up to eight (8) FREE sessions of counseling services. CARES is available to uninsured or underinsured families and accepts all private and public insurance options, including PPO, HMO and Medicaid.

Child Care Assistance Program

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is a public benefit from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to help income-eligible parents pay for child care while they work or go to school. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a public benefit that provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of families in need.
