The Human Resources Department is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and assignment of all employees of the District, with the approval of the superintendent and the board of education.

District 45 employs more than 500 teachers, assistants, secretaries, custodians and administrators who work together to serve students, families and the community. The district is committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining highly qualified candidates dedicated to educational excellence. The Human Resources Department supports employees with matters related to contracts, certification and other employment questions.

District 45 offers competitive starting salaries for certified staff, as well as tuition reimbursement, base salary increases for graduate coursework completion, and hard-to-fill position stipends.

See below for our starting base salaries for the 2026-27 school year, based on 0 years of previous experience. Up to 10 years of related, previous experience will result in applicable starting base salary increases.

*The starting base salary listed assumes 0 years of previous experience. Starting salaries are increased by $525-950 for each year of prior experience, up to 10 years.
**An education level up to MA+30 can be recognized for new employees. Current employees are able to move to the MA+45 level.
