On March 24, the Jefferson Middle School 8th grade boys volleyball team played in the tournament finals against Bryan Middle School.
While our Wildcats didn’t capture the championship, these student-athletes represented Jefferson and our District admirably and played well against a talented Bryan team (14-25, 22-25).
The team went 9-2 in the regular season, including an eight-game winning streak, and 7-1 in conference play.
Congratulations to our boys 8th-grade volleyball team on a fine season! And congratulations to all our Wildcat volleyball families who provide so much love and support to our student-athletes.
The 2022 8th Grade Boys Volleyball Roster: Kye Casteel, Matthew Ciesinski (Captain), Ryan Dasbach, Noah Edison, Anthony Francione, Jorge Garcia, Eric Hanzelka, Landen Jackson, Martynas Pelesinas, Brayan Vazquez, Diego Villegas.
The Wildcats were coached by Mr. Kevin Peterson, who, after the game, said, “This team is just an overall great group of guys that I had the pleasure of coaching,” said Peterson. “I wish the season never ended. These guys all have such bright futures in life and athletics.”
