The Board of Education of District 45 and Dr. Anthony Palmisano have mutually agreed to amend the Superintendent’s retirement employment contract and enter into an agreement that will conclude Dr. Palmisano’s employment as a District 45 administrator after 36 consecutive work days into the 2025-2026 contract year. The Board and Dr. Palmisano will partner with one another in his remaining time as a District employee to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Dr. Palmisano has transitioned to the role of Assistant Superintendent through his retirement date.
The Board is pleased to announce that Dr. Brian Graber will now begin to serve the District in the capacity of Superintendent. Dr. Graber began employment in District 45 in 2019 as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. In this role, he has built strong relationships with the District 45 Board of Education, his peers, teachers and staff, and the community.
Prior to his employment with District 45, Dr. Graber served as an Elementary Principal for ten years, a Middle School Assistant Principal for three years, and a Classroom Teacher for seven years. Dr. Graber holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in School Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Graber is eager to begin his work as Superintendent and to support the District’s mission and vision and a vibrant community comprised of our students, families and all staff members.
The District has posted a position for a new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, to take effect July 1, 2024.
