ExceleRate Illinois has recognized the District 45 Early Childhood Center with a Gold Circle of Quality for its Preschool for All (PFA) program.
ExceleRate uses a set of standards that focus on early learning and development and prioritize instructional excellence, family services, staff qualifications, professional development, and program administration.
Evidence is obtained through monitoring visits, where assessors collect evidence using the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale-Third Edition (ECERS-3) and the ISBE Compliance Checklist. Based on its most recent monitoring results, the Early Childhood Center achieved the Gold Circle of Quality.
Early Childhood Center Principal Kelly Nettleton was proud and excited to learn about the Gold rating following their recent monitoring visit.
“This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment that our staff provides to our students and families every day,” said Nettleton. “Our staff is quite dedicated to our youngest learners, and we always seek to improve our skill set.”
Nettleton hopes the recognition “helps families feel even more confident that their child is receiving a high-quality education in an accepting environment from a dedicated staff.”
ExceleRate Illinois is administered through INCCRRA under the joint direction of the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development, the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
