Schafer welcomes Enchanted Backpack donations

Traducción

On August 30, students and staff from Schafer Elementary welcomed visitors from Enchanted Backpack. The nonprofit organization arrived with two vans, each loaded with school supplies, books, coats, art supplies, athletic equipment, personal necessities, and more. Students cheered and waved “Thank You” signs as the delivery arrived. Staff members and volunteers helped unload the vans full of supplies. Enchanted Backpack makes deliveries throughout the entire year to about 50 qualifying schools that have applied and been accepted for the program. The average van delivery has a retail value of $40,000. “What an exciting day for our students and staff,” said Principal Edith Rivera. “The donations we received today will go a long way in helping our students succeed.” Thank you to our friends at Enchanted Backpack! What a great day for our Sharks!
