On April 17, first graders from North School hosted “Wild Rumpus,” a unique party to meet their 7th-grade buddies from Jefferson. The first graders painted a “Wild Thing” character, and the photos were sent to 7th graders at Jefferson Middle School. The 7th graders then made a “plushie” version of the first graders’ artwork. Students met their buddies at the party and did some activities together to get to know each other.
And what’s a party without delicious snacks?
What a fun afternoon watching the 1st and 7th graders meet each other! Many of the 7th graders who attended, also participated in the event when they were in 1st grade. Special thanks to our volunteers from the North PTA, as well as Art Teachers Dave Johnson and Laura Allan. What fun, Penguins and Wildcats!
