On May 15, the great tradition of “Wild Rumpus” continued, as first graders from North School hosted a unique party to meet their 7th-grade buddies from Jefferson Middle School. Earlier this year, first graders painted a “Wild Thing” character, and the photos were sent to 7th graders at Jefferson Middle School. The 7th graders then made a “plushie” version of the first graders’ artwork. Jefferson students arrived at North and met their buddies at the party. Each did table activities together to get to know each other.
What an exciting morning for the 1st and 7th graders! Many of the 7th graders who attended also participated in the event when they were in 1st grade. Special thanks to our fantastic parent volunteers from the North PTA, all our staff helpers at the party, and Art Teachers Dave Johnson and Laura Allan. Way to go, Penguins and Wildcats!
