What fun! On September 22, North Elementary held a Family Reading Night in the school gymnasium. Families were treated to a Reader’s Theatre of “The Day The Crayons Quit,” featuring North staff, including Dr. Joe Ritchie, Barbara Caliendo, Carly Lee, Melissa Davy, Sandy Henderson, Josie Giovannelli, Julia Stern, Linette Guare, Joe Ritchie, Suzy Garcia, Blanca Arias, Alyssa Reylea, Kim Aldridge, and Angela Jones.
Volunteer students then provided a Reader’s Showcase, entertaining the packed room with read-alouds of poetry, fairy tales, tongue twisters, and more.
The evening also included an amazing PTA Book Fair, where families could browse and purchase books. Thank you to all who participated in the Reader’s Theatre and Reader’s Showcase, to the North PTA, and to all our Penguin families for their outstanding support.
