At its September 6 meeting, the District 45 Board of Education recognized three members of the District 45 community who were named “VPEA Those Who Excel” for the 2021-22 school year.
Katie Meyer is a Special Education Resource Teacher at Schafer Elementary School. Katie was named “Teacher of the Year” for the 2021-22 school year. Katie was also the recipient of the Region 58 Difference Maker award.
Elvira Aguilar is an ELL Teacher Assistant at North Elementary School. Elvira was named Support Personnel of the Year for the 2021-22 school year.
Community Member Kim Quinney was named “Community Member of the Year” for the 2021-22 school year. Kim serves as Music Booster President for all District 45 Schools.
Katie, Elvira, and Kim— thank you for your dedication and leadership in our schools. We appreciate all you do for our community, and most especially our students. Congratulations!
